John Oyston
I am a freelance travel writer, accountant and further education teacher. I have spent a lifetime travelling across the UK, Western Europe and the United States. As well as writing for Suite 101, I also host a series of blogs entitled 100 Days Out. Each blog concentrates on one region and these include my native Yorkshire and my daughter Bethany's adopted homeland of Wales.
I live in Huddersfield with my wife Denise, our only daughter Bethany is currently studying at Swansea University. My interests include sport, genealogy, stamp collecting and railways. Denise, and I founded and designed the UK Genealogy website, which was widely acclaimed in the genealogy press, on both sides of the Atlantic. I designed the layout, researched the content and edited the newsletter.
